Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before remapping your vehicle.

ECU Remapping (also known as just 'remapping') is the result of modifying or tweaking software on your vehicles Engine Control Unit (essentially the brains of your car), in our case to improve performance factors such as engine power or torque. We also offer economy maps, which are designed to maximise fuel efficiency.

When carried out using specialist equipment, by professionals and on a healthy vehicle, ECU Remapping is a safe and established modification.

Remapping a vehicle may affect your insurance, depending on the modifications made and your insurance providers pricing scheme. For more information, we recommend contacting your insurance provider before booking a Remap with us.
Always declare modifications to your insurance provider.

Yes. Flashing a vehicle with a performance map (Stage 1, 2 or 3 Remap) usually improves fuel efficiency.
If you're looking to primarily improve fuel efficiency, choose an 'Economy Map' (a Remap designed to improve fuel efficiency) to see results of up to 15% extra fuel efficiency!

Every vehicle is different - so whilst we can't give exact results, you could expect up to 40% extra power, and up to 35% extra torque!

A Remap can potentially be reversed by returning the ECU to factory settings.
It is important to note that, whilst a Remap can be reversed, your warranty with an external company may still be voided.
